Theo’s passion for working in sports began in high school and solidified during his undergraduate years at the University of San Francisco. While at USF, he gained valuable experience interning with USF Athletics and the Golden State Warriors in game presentation, aspiring to become a Game Presentation Director and be able to shape the tone and culture of a sporting event. His journey led him to Stanford University, where he received his first opportunity behind the mic, discovering that he could make that same impact in front of a crowd. This pivotal moment launched his career as the In-Game Host for Stanford Football, a role that quickly snowballed into opportunities with the 49ers, New Orlean Pelicans, New Orleans Saints, NFL Super Bowl and NBA All-Star events.
He actively listens to fans, picking up on details they share—whether it’s where they’re from or who their favorite player is—and uses that information to create meaningful connections. By highlighting shared experiences and common interests, he fosters a sense of community among fans and seamlessly incorporates them into the show.
He has learned that flexibility is essential. While there is always a script to follow, live events are unpredictable, and unexpected moments can quickly turn plans upside down. The key is staying composed amid the chaos, adapting in real time, and maintaining a steady presence regardless of what unfolds.
BEYOND THE EVENTS:
Theo is focused on being intentional about unplugging and taking time away and giving himself the space to recharge without constantly thinking about ways to improve his craft. After a solo trip to Puerto Rico last year to step away from the hustle, he is now planning his next getaway as an opportunity to recharge and reset.
Recognizing that he won’t be in this role forever, Theo aspires to help the next person that steps into his shoes. He aims to ease their transition, ensuring their success. His goal is to help them see their potential, understand the heights they can reach, and feel the support surrounding them. Reinforcing that while their role may be niche, they are never alone in their journey.
Theo is inspired by his mother and the unwavering dedication and resilience she has shown—from her ability to balance being a full time employee, parent, and student when he was young to her impressive commitment to her career.
