QUICK FACTS:
RAISING THE BAR ON “RIDICULOUS IDEAS” TO ACTIVATE DURING EVENTS…
Sam is from Danville, OH and graduated from Kent State with a Sport Administration degree. While taking a Promotions class he realized he was good at producing “ridiculous ideas”, so he interned with the athletics' marketing department his last year and a half. Prior to starting with the Cleveland Charge in 2018, he honed his skills working at Rice University and Wright State University. In 2020, in addition to the Charge Marketing, Sam was asked to manage the Monster’s Game Presentation for a brief period and is now back to his passion area of Marketing & Promotions.
He loves seeing his ideas come to life and having people respond positively to them in a full arena gives him chills. Sam appreciates his team who has no shortage of unique, interesting, and engaging ideas which they can market to all demographics. He says they strive to raise the bar in the industry. Their successes last season included Pucks n Pierogies, Total Solar Eclipse, & Elf Night.
Some of Sam’s favorite event memories come from last season with back-to-back promo nights for the Monsters. The first being Country Music night where they had a well-known local radio host guest host the event. The second was Golf Night and they brought in Actor Chris McDonald (Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore), incorporating him into the show. They also had the actor made into bobblehead to be part of a bobblehead/meet & greet ticket package.
BEYOND THE EVENTS:
Sam is excited to be getting married in the summer of 2025 to his fiancée Natasha! He will be planning the wedding while putting on events for two teams this season.
Sam relaxes in his downtime by golfing, going to country music concerts, and the movies. He also travels in the offseason visiting friends and family.
He values any chance he can get to spend time with his support system-his fiancée, family, and friends. During the season, his time is limited but he prioritizes this time with them because of how much joy they bring him.
