RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING LASTING MEMORIES FOR ALL FANS…
Originally from Indiana, Josh started his career as an intern for the Indiana Sports Corp before joining the University of Evansville where he was able to work in all aspects of collegiate athletics.  He found a natural passion for live events and began a path through collegiate sports leadership starting at Illinois State, SMU, and then growing quickly to his current role at the University of Washington.

Josh takes his role as a memory maker seriously and lets it motivate him.  He has a crystal clear “why”: To curate lasting memories for fans of all ages.  This stemmed from his experiences watching Ohio State games as a kid and realizing the connective and motivational power that sports had on people around the world.  He loves the distinctly collegiate elements (band, cheer, students, traditions) that make their events special.

As a leader, Josh has learned his role on a team and empowers others to complement one another to create a high-performing unit.  He knows his strength is in bringing ideas to life, using the example “I may not always come up with the trendy slogan on a t-shirt, but I enjoy the logistical process from ideation to execution – seeing our prep come to life!”

In college sports, Josh is excited about how important the entertainment is becoming to the experience, while it used to be an afterthought, now it’s a main priority to deliver a great brand experience.”

BEYOND THE EVENTS:
Josh credits amazing mentors and industry peers for helping him navigate to where he is today. Tyler Jones, Brad Wurthman, Andy Rowden, and Brian Hicks as well as the NACMA mentorship program have all given him resources, sounding boards, and support to grow as a professional and as a leader.

When not at an event, Josh isn’t far from sports, you can find him golfing, running or enjoying his favorite teams with family and friends–and if tacos are involved, even better!

He has an impressive list of sports memories including the SuperBowl and CFB Championship, but the UW win over Oregon with College Game Day on site, or standing by the 18th green to see Tiger Woods win the Memorial Tournament stand out as two of his favorite of all time.
