QUICK FACTS:

LIFELONG FANDOM FUELS PASSION FOR SPORTS BUSINESS…
Jenna grew up playing sports in California and knew that she wanted to work in sports in some capacity. After obtaining her degree in Sports Science at University of San Francisco, she went on to obtain her MA in Sports Management which opened the door to intern with LA teams.

In her role, she enjoys being able to impact the experience of  so many people and create memories for both guests and staff. She loves learning staff stories and what motivates them. The deep ties her staff has to the organization and city resonated and has kept her with the Padres for 6 years.

Despite the heightened staff expectations for their work experience, Jenna works hard to find ways to motivate and show appreciation for her staff. She gets creative with surprise and delights, leans into knowing them individually and maintains a positive, can-do attitude daily, always grateful for her team.

When hiring staff, Jenna looks for three important core values – energy/passion, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.

BEYOND THE EVENTS:
Jenna credits her grandfather for her initial love of baseball, he was one of the first season ticket holders at Dodgers Stadium and she says that she wouldn’t be where she is now without that background because she fell in love with baseball going to Dodgers games.

Her most memorable moment as a Padres intern was getting to drag the field during a game. Female groundskeepers aren’t common and she was excited to be a role model for girls in the crowd.

She is a proud dog mom to Chance the Rapper, whom she adopted in 2021 during the pandemic. She appreciates the social opportunities that opened up when she became a dog mom and how dog-friendly San Diego is.
