CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE, BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS:
In a quick six years at AAC, Jasmine has grown from a PT coordinator to the Director of the department overseeing the full and PT staff, managing an arena that is home to the Dallas Stas and Mavericks and hosts events year-round.

Growing up an athlete, the team mindset is core to how she tackles each opportunity. She never wants to let anyone down - herself, her te3am, her guests - and she levels up in each new role, redefining what success looks likes and pushing to execute at the highest level to support hte team the best she can.

A people leader at heart, she thrives on helping others grow. The people are the best part, and what I’ve learned most about in this role. “Peopling” as she puts it, drives her to keep growing. As she moves in the new roles, keeping her PT staff central to her focus has built enduring relationships and a team that celebrates her opportunities while respecting and embracing her spirit and honesty. “I didn’t start here as a career and it’s amazing this has become just that, its wonderful.”

BEYOND THE EVENTS:
A Central California native, a college hoops scholarship took her to the middle of the country to play at SW Oklahoma State University. Her love for sports kept her in Dallas.

Authenticity is critical. Over time, she’s heard a lot of feedback on her natural hair being un-professional and has recognized the cultural divide in understanding that her hair is a symbol of her self identity. “My hair doesn’t define my ability to do my job, but it does let me be true to myself and as I blend my authentic self into my career, I am excited to redefine people’s expectations.”
